Based on Q2 results, eBay said it now has nine product categories that produce more than $1 billion each in annualized gross merchandise sales: eBay Motors at $6.3 billion; consumer electronics, $2 billion; computers, $2 billion; books/movies/music, $1.6 billion; sports, $1.5 billion; clothing and accessories, $1.3 billion; collectibles, $1.1 billion; toys, $1 billion; and home & garden, $1 billion.
EBay said it expects 2003 revenues to reach as high as $2.075 billion, up $25 million from its most recent estimate. It attributes the higher revenue outlook to the strength of its U.S. and international sales transactions as well as its payments services.
