Buy.com presents Google AdWords ads throughout its content pages

In a move that earns it more revenue while providing shoppers more comparison product information, Buy.com has formed an advertising partnership with Google to present its AdWords ads throughout Buy.com, Buy.com president and COO Neel Grover says.

“By adding Google’s targeted ads to Buy.com, we are giving our customers additional, highly relevant resources with which to make an informed buying decision,” Grover says.

Google, representing clients such as consumer goods manufacturers and retailers, presents contextual AdWords ads that appear next to related web content or search results. A search for “digital cameras” on Buy.com, for example, produces more than 90 products available from Buy.com, but it also shows sponsored links to Google clients including ShopCartUSA.com. The books category section on Buy.com includes sponsored links for Google clients including BarnesandNoble.com.

Google shares ad revenue with Buy.com each time a shopper clicks on one of the sponsored links. Other retail sites participating in the Google AdWords program in content and search pages include Shopping.com and PriceGrabber.com, a Google spokesman says.
