Online sales resume their skyrocket growth

Online retail sales in the U.S, grew 39% to $956 million for the week ending July 20 from $688 million in the corresponding week a year ago, comScore Networks Inc. reports.

Total retail sales also experienced a strong week, growing 5.3% from the same week a year ago, reports ShopperTrak’s National Retail Sales Estimate. It was the 12th consecutive week of year-over-year growth.

Online travel sales that week grew 33% from the same week a year ago, reaching $933 million from $701 million, comScore reports.
