Search marketing company Range Online hires a COO
Range Online Media, a $30 million-a -year online advertising and marketing agency that specializes in search marketing, has named Ray White as chief operating officer.
He will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing operational plans, practices, and processes, including implementing procedures to measure and manage customer satisfaction, customer return on investment, margins, and revenue targets. White also be in charge of developing the company’s products, as well as lead R&D for products, technologies, and proprietary systems.
White joins Range Online Media from Match.com, a division of Interactive Corp., where responsibilities included negotiation, research, design, development, budgeting, marketing, retention, reporting, and overall management of Match.com’s new businesses and products. White also helped launch Clearwire Communications and was an executive with Verizon Communications.
“We needed a talented and experienced executive to help us manage our rapid expansion, and Ray is the perfect guy,” says Misty Locke, president, who co-founded Range Online Media in 2001. “Market researchers estimate nearly 35% of the total online ad spending will go to search marketing by the end of 2005, and Range Online Media is well positioned to dominate this exploding market.”
