Office Depot ranks No. 1 in online office supply orders, Nielsen reports

With nearly 1.4 million purchases in March at OfficeDepot.com, Office Depot easily claimed the top spot among online office supplies retailers, according to the latest Nielsen/NetRatings MegaView Online Retail report. Vistaprint, which led the category in February, fell to second. Amazon again dominated DVD and video sales and eBay retained its top spot in electronics, jewelry and toys.

While Office Depot is No. 1 in Nielsen/NetRatings` rankings of office supply retailers, it is behind Staples in terms of total sales in the forthcoming Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites. Staples is the second largest online retailer ranked by 2006 sales behind Amazon and Office Depot is No. 3.
