Petco joins the return-to-store menagerie
Online shoppers at Petco.com can now return their purchases to any of Petco Animal Supplies Inc.’s 635 stores under a new policy implemented today.
Petco.com piloted the program in 145 stores, and decided to roll out the return program on a nationwide basis beginning today. Petco customers can print a "return to store receipt" through their online order history.
"We want to make sure our customers are completely satisfied with every PETCO purchase, and want to make returns or exchanges as simple as possible," said Mike Woodard, Petco`s senior vice president of business development. "In the process, we hope to convert more offline shoppers to multi-channel shoppers by overcoming the worry and inconvenience of returning an item that was bought online."
Petco offers more than 7,000 products online, including specialty items not found in its stores. It also offers scheduled, regular home delivery of popular items like pet food and cat litter through its "Bottomless Bowl" program.
