YANTRA ADDS MULTI-ENTERPRISE CAPABILITIES WITH NEW WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT RELEASE

Yantra DCS 6.2 Extends Distribution Outside the Four Walls for Global 2000 Businesses.

TEWKSBURY, Mass.- December 11, 2001-Yantra Corporation (www.yantra.com), the leading provider of multi-enterprise commerce management solutions, today announced a new multi-enterprise release of its warehouse management application. Yantra DCS 6.2 enables a global view over all warehouse facilities in a company`s network and adds dynamic slotting and broad parcel carrier integration capabilities to connect businesses` warehousing operations with their multi-enterprise distribution networks.

As Global 2000 companies struggle to manage fulfillment efficiently across multiple divisions, business units and trading partners, they are looking to make warehouse management operations more external facing. DCS 6.2 links tightly to Yantra`s Multi-Enterprise Order and Inventory Management applications to connect warehousing operations more closely with other supply chain events. This enables faster replenishment of stock by suppliers, lower inventory levels and more flexible response to changes in supply and demand. Broder Bros. and ScanSource are two of the Yantra customers to already take shipment of the new release.

Version 6.2 adds significant capabilities and functionality around parcel carrier integration. This includes a new carrier server module with pre-built integration to major parcel carriers. The carrier server also enables users to easily add additional parcel carriers through built-in extensibility features. Other new capabilities include dynamic slotting. This feature addresses space and operational efficiencies in the forward pick areas of a warehouse. Pick locations can be set as either "Fixed" or "Dynamic." This allows users to designate a percentage of, or entire forward pick locations as dynamic.

" In the traditional single-enterprise model, a company`s warehouse management system contained most of the information necessary to determine if it were possible to fulfill an order," said Rob Sweeney, VP Product Management for Yantra. "Today, given the increasing complexity of fulfillment, that`s no longer enough. DCS 6.2 leverages the critical information that exists in each warehouse and connects it with a company`s extended supply chain to drive down cycle times and optimize inventory."
