MasterCard International has launched MarketAccess, an online marketplace for small-business cardholders to buy and sell goods. MarketAccess also allows businesses to create Web sites with online storefronts at no charge.
Participants fill out a registration form of general and industry-specific questions about their business needs and then create their own custom-built site step by step, says Purchase, N.Y-based MasterCard. In addition, the MarketAccess Small Business Community will list each small-business suppliers' Web site, including its name, category, online address and a description of products and services, the company says.
