Scottsdale, Ariz. – May 30, 2003 – JDA Software Group, Inc. will preview next generation solutions and infrastructure advancements in JDA Portfolio® at Retail Solutions 2003, the leading European retail technology event, between the 3rd and 5th of June at the NEC in Birmingham, UK. In addition to presenting a case study in the Retail Solutions Seminar Programme, JDA representatives will showcase Portfolio products at stand G24, which will feature seven demonstration areas including one for strategic partners.

Co-operative Retail Trading Group Succeeds with Portfolio Collaborative Solutions
On Wednesday, 4 June Don Brenchley, JDA’s collaborative solutions director, will present, "Making Your Relationships More Profitable." This case study will feature Co-Operative Retail Trading Group, the world’s largest co-operative business and the UK’s largest convenience store retailer, and its award-winning Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment (CPFR®) program. Winning two prestigious industry awards within the past six months for its CPFR program, Co-operative Retail has dramatically improved product availability and supply chain efficiencies with over 20 strategic trading partners such as Nestlé Purina PetCare, Coca Cola and Kellogg’s.
Brenchley will provide more detail on the Portfolio Collaborative Solutions that have enabled Co-operative Retail to increase service levels and reduce stockholdings at eight depots by $4 million within the first eight months of the program.
JDA & Industry Partners Combat Card Fraud with Chip & PIN Solution
According to the UK’s official chip & PIN website, credit and debit card fraud losses on UK issued cards has grown about 30 percent per year. Experts predict the loss to reach £800 million by 2005. JDA is leading a collaboration of vendors, called Teamwork6, to battle this national problem. Dedicated to helping retailers quickly and simply adopt an end-to-end solution for Chip & PIN by the January 2005 deadline, Teamwork6 offers every component -- from software and hardware through to implementation -- required for retailers to become Chip & PIN compliant.
JDA is the central point of contact for Teamwork6 and will be demonstrating the complete solution for Chip & PIN on the JDA stand. Teamwork 6 includes JDA, Dione, QAS, Retail Logic, Triangle and XcelleNet.
