Global eXchange Services Acquires Logistics Integration Leader, Celarix
Deal Underscores Company’s Long Term Commitment to Providing Value-added Solutions to the GXS Transaction Delivery Network
Gaithersburg, MD -- 06/04/2003 -- Global eXchange Services, Inc. (GXS) today announced the acquisition of the business of Celarix, Inc., a privately held company headquartered in Cambridge, MA. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Celarix’s logistics provider integration and data quality management service help Global 2000 organizations to quickly connect to logistics trading partners and retrieve, use and share timely and accurate shipment status information throughout the supply chain. The Celarix solutions are immediately available for sale through GXS.

Celarix’s existing customers including, Agilent Technologies, Lowe’s Companies, Sharp Electronics, and ShopKo Stores, will become part of the GXS customer base. The Celarix solutions allow GXS to expand its value-added services to its core vertical markets, particularly in the retail, hi-tech and automotive industries. This functionality will enable customers to access and exploit clean, reliable logistics information which helps improve fill rates, boost customer satisfaction levels and reduce transportation costs.
