CRM company Responsys acquires NetAcumen, web data analysis firm


Palo Alto, CA-based Responsys Inc., a provider of interactive customer relationship management technology, has acquired NetAcumen, website analysis and intelligence firm. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Responsys says the acquisition will provide a technology platform to allow businesses to integrate customer profile data from e-mail and web sites, giving them the ability to create a more personalized approach based on customers’ digital interactions. The Responsys platform also integrates data from other CRM systems.

"As of today, iCRM comes of age," said George Wiedemann, CEO of Responsys. "Enterprises have spent billions of dollars on systems that teach them about their online customers` preferences. They`ve spent billions more on web sites and e-mail campaigns that are supposed to provide a personalized dialogue with customers. But until today, these systems haven`t talked to each other. The integration of NetAcumen`s trailblazing technology with the Responsys platform creates the industry`s only unified, hosted online customer profile management and interaction system. Enterprises can now apply their online intelligence investment to extremely customized and high-ROI digital dialogues with their customers."
