ChannelAdvisor closes a round of funding that includes eBay
Research Triangle Park, NC-based ChannelAdvisor Corp., developer of auction management software, has received $5.7 million in funding, led by Boston based
Genesis Venture Partners, L.P. Investors include eBay Inc.
ChannelAdvisor provides services and technology that enables manufacturers
and retailers to manage the sale of merchandise on the web`s auction marketplaces.
"We invested in ChannelAdvisor because of their unique and proven technology
and services, strong management team and business momentum with major
partners," said Rashid Ashraf, a partner with Genesis Venture Partners. "The company has the ability to be the leader in enterprise marketplace management services which enable retailers and manufacturers to increase sales, acquire new customers and maximize yield on their excess, refurbished and returned inventory."
ChannelAdvisor`s clients include IBM, Ingram Micro, Acer, Crucial Technologies and Iomega in computers and peripherals; Creative Labs, Econozone, Handspring, Harman Audio and Kodak in electronics; West Marine, Rollerblade and Sportif USA in sporting goods. Other clients include AKA Gourmet, New Vine Logistics, Omaha Steaks, Restaurant.com, WineTasting.com, Bargain Builder and Samsonite.
