EBay Inc. has named Chris Corrado senior vice president and corporate chief technology officer. Corrado joins eBay from AT&T Wireless, where he was chief information officer and executive vice president. Corrado will be responsible for eBay's site operations, information technology, and security.
While at AT&T Wireless, Corrado oversaw the alignment of the company's technical infrastructure with its business strategy. Before joining AT&T Wireless, Corrado was head of the Security Solutions Practice at Wipro Technologies. He has also held executive positions at Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley & Co.
Corrado will replace Marty Abbott, senior vice president of technology. the company says Abbott and Corrado will work together over the next several months to ensure a smooth transition.
