Dell.com dials up fast high broadband in July

In July, a shopper with a high broadband connection could access a Top 50 retail site in 6.19 seconds, compared with 13.76 seconds for a low broadband connection and 49.94 seconds for dial-up, says Gomez Inc.

Dell.com provided the fastest high broadband access time among Top 50 retailers for July, says Gomez Inc.

At 3 seconds Dell was followed by Zappos.com (3.38 seconds), FootLocker.com (3.89 seconds) and OfficeMax.com (3.97 seconds).

Using a dial-up connection, Dell.com also provided the fastest site response time at 34.33 seconds.
