LARGO, FLORIDA (Friday, June 6, 2003) – Southern DataComm. Inc. (SDC), an industry leader in high-speed
integrated electronic payment processing software and services announces its newest Payment Delivery
Service for merchants who want secure, high-speed credit card processing via the Internet.
ProtoBase eXpress sm Service is targeted for small to mid-sized merchants who want to use their current Internet
connectivity along with ProtoBase ® Software for high-speed credit, debit, gift card and check processing. The
ProtoBase eXpress Service is designed to accommodate a variety of merchant POS/PMS/Web Server
configurations and incorporates state of the art “SSL” encryption technology. The service provides merchants
with a “one to many” choice for transaction processing, delivering authorization speeds in the 3 to 5 second range.
The ProtoBase eXpress sm Service is a complement to SDC’s Network GateWay sm Service which incorporates both
Frame Relay and ISDN technology for high-speed payment delivery. Both Payment Delivery Services are
compatible with integrated systems running Powered by ProtoBase ® technology.
