LEADER IN INTERACTIVE PRODUCT DEMOS, NUEWEB CHANGES NAME TO EXEMPLUM
BLACKSBURG, VA (January 21, 2004) – What’s in a name? Everything – especially when you are
trying to differentiate yourself from your competition while at the same time keep pace with the
constantly evolving technologies of digital media production and Internet marketing. Nueweb, a leading provider of Interactive Product Demonstrations for some of the world’s best-known brands, such as Sharp, Best Buy, Verizon Wireless and Roche Diagnostics, has changed its name to Exemplum. The name Exemplum, derived from the Latin word meaning “example or model,” more accurately reflects the evolution of services the company offers and underscores how those services meet the business needs of its clients.
Solutions that solve actual business needs
The vast majority of technology companies providing interactive services focus their efforts only
on the presentation of a project and neglect defining the project’s success criteria to solve actual business
needs. This has created an industry in which companies purchase these services, but do not see a
sustainable return on their investments. Exemplum is the convergence of the product presentation with
the identification of real business problems that every brand faces (e.g., better educating consumers and
increasing sales and profitability) to develop solutions that address those issues.
Value + Wow = Exemplum
For the last six years, Exemplum has consistently applied the latest technology to develop
customized solutions for its clients. The company’s services go beyond the use of simple visual product
displays such as 360-degree spins that are fun and engaging (i.e. the WOW factor), to services like product
quick-start guides, interactive manuals and customer service tools that lead, instruct and influence
consumers at all stages of the relationship. The result – better, more appealing demonstrations that
provide a positive experience for consumers, which translates to increased sales, enhanced learning,
greater brand awareness, and improved customer satisfaction (i.e. real business VALUE). In other words, Exemplum has evolved to give its clients, and its clients’ customers, VALUE plus WOW.
“While our name has changed, the products and services we offer have remained the same,”
explains CEO Brian Leitten. “By changing our name to Exemplum, we are simply better defining what
we’ve always done – solving product communication problems with visual solutions that provide
excitement and value,” he concludes.
Customized solutions for a range of products and industries
Many of the world’s best-known brands have availed themselves of the customized product
communication solutions that Exemplum provides. Companies like Alcon, Circuit City, Graco, Hoover,
Nextel and Sharp have partnered with Exemplum to develop digital product demonstrations for products
as diverse as surgical instruments, children’s car seats, vacuum cleaners and consumer electronics.
“Every brand can benefit from the solutions Exemplum offers,” claims Leitten. “At some point,
every company needs to build on its image and relationships with its customers, and that is where
Exemplum comes in. Whether looking to engage and support consumers through the decision to
purchase, help them learn how to use or maintain a product or enhance brand awareness, Exemplum’s
interactive demos are there to help, every step of the way,” he says.
