Retek Names New Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales

MINNEAPOLIS--Jan. 23, 2004--Retek Inc. (Nasdaq:RETK) today announced that it has named Jerry Dolinsky senior vice president of worldwide sales. Since joining Retek in 1998, Dolinsky has held various sales and sales management positions and was most recently vice president of sales for the Americas region. He has helped Retek increase its presence in the hardlines, grocery and drug verticals and has provided leadership to the sales team.

Prior to joining Retek, Dolinsky had over 10 years experience in a variety of sales executive leadership positions. His most recent position was the vice president of sales for NxTrend, Inc., an application software provider to the wholesale distribution industry with annual sales of $50 million. Dolinsky holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Weber State University. He has also completed graduate courses towards a master`s degree at Saint Mary`s University of Minnesota.
