PHOENIX, June 11, 2003 – Global payment technology leader Hypercom Corporation (NYSE: HYC) today announced that Staples, Inc. will purchase and install 6,500 Hypercom card payment terminals and technology. This latest in a series of multi-million dollar wins for Hypercom includes the new EMV-type approved ICE™ 6000Plus with HyperSafe™ operating system security. The terminals will be installed at point-of-sale registers at Staples’ checkout counters throughout the U.S.
