eBay Expands Relationship with BlueStar Solutions

BlueStar Solutions, a leading provider of enterprise application services, announced today that eBay has renewed its contract for another three years and added additional new services as well. eBay is The World`s Online Marketplace® for the sales of goods and services by a diverse community of individuals and businesses.
In the new agreement, which was an early renewal of the original contract, eBay added SAP`s BW (Business Intelligence) application module and selected BlueStar Solutions` Enhanced Disaster Recovery Services option. The new DR service provides eBay with extremely fast recoverability through a back-up BlueStar Solutions data center. This is key for ensuring eBay`s continued back office operations in the event of severe business disruptions.
In addition, the company has asked BlueStar Solutions to provide upgraded hardware and support additional network requirements based on the company`s growing needs and support for enhanced DR. BlueStar Solutions has been providing services to eBay for SAP R/3, SAP Financials, and SAP Human Resources since June 2000.
