Merging some services, Half.com leverages eBay`s systems

Half.com is more closely aligning itself with parent eBay Inc. Half.com customers will be able to use their online accounts on file at both Half.com and at eBay. Users can choose to have their registration information, contact information and preference settings be the same at both sites. Half.com expects this change to allow customers to manage their accounts more easily. Half.com also is adopting the eBay feedback system, which allows customers to rate buyers and sellers and will allow customers to merge ratings if they appear on both web sites. Additions to the feedback system will include a new rating score, similar to eBay’s, colored stars to identify high-performance sellers and the ability to reply to and rebut feedback comments.

In an e-mailed message to users, Half.com emphasizes that it "will continue to function as a separate site." It says these changes will take place over the next few weeks.
