eToys’ My Twinn unit hires a former American Girl executive
Craig Currie has joined Denver-based eToys Direct Inc. as vice president of My Twinn, an eToys company that creates personalized dolls that look like children ages 3-12 with matching clothing and accessories for girls and dolls.
Currie was a member of the original American Girl management team that grew the company from $500,000 in annual sales to more than $300 million. He was at American Girl for 11 years.
"Craig knows how to grow a specialty doll business," said eToys Direct CEO Michael Wagner. "He brings extensive direct-to-consumer and doll industry knowledge as well as a strong background in the design, development and execution of new product lines to My Twinn. "
Most recently, Currie was COO of Between Productions, a developer of character-based products and books for girls. He also served as a managing director at Tully & Holland, providing investment banking services to the toy, gift, direct mail and collectibles industries.
