Stop & Shop will install kiosks linked to NetGrocer.com

Stop & Shop Supermarket Co., which operates 320 stores in New England, will install web-enabled kiosks linked to NetGrocer.com to allow customers to order merchandise that Stop & Shop doesn’t carry in stores. Stop & Shop will also provide a link from its web site--Peapod by Stop & Shop--to NetGrocer. Stop & Shop and Peapod are owned by Dutch food company Ahold.

"We are continuously exploring opportunities to use technology to enhance our customers` shopping experience and expand our one-stop-shopping service," said Marc Smith, president and CEO of Stop & Shop. "Coupled with our great selection, this service will help our customers find everything they need and want at Stop & Shop."

Stop & Shop is installing kiosks, branded “The Endless Aisle,” from NetGrocer, which recently changed its corporate name to Nexpansion.

Peapod by Stop & Shop provides online shopping to customers in Boston, Fairfield County, CT, Westchester County, NY and Long Island, NY.
