Returns software company eBoomerang gets a new chairman

EBoomerang, provider of software for managing product returns, has named Michael Bateman as chairman of its board of directors. Bateman has more than 40 years of technology and executive experience, including creating, launching, and running several companies. His companies include Tandem Computers, which was acquired by Compaq for $3 billion in 1997, Blue Pumpkin Software, a CRM software provider, and Nsite, an on-demand, self learning solution to automate and improve business process.

“My decision to join eBoomerang’s board of directors was based on my belief in their product and company’s business model,” Bateman said. “The company provides an ideal web-based solution for managing the returns process from end-to-end. If this product had been available to me about 15 years ago when I was responsible for building the remanufacturing business at Tandem Computers, it would have made a huge contribution of savings to the bottom line.”

“Mike Bateman brings the type of top-tiered professional expertise that will help drive eBoomerang to the next level,” said Murray Cook, CEO. “eBoomerang provides a must-have solution and we are building a board of directors that supports this vision.”

Bateman is also chairman of Nsite, Metrics Corp. and Boniva Software and is on the board of Vocent Solutions.
