Video Store, featuring thousands of movie
titles available on both DVD and VHS.
The new online store is powered by the All-Movie Guide database and
organized in 16 major genres and more than 800 subcategories. The site
features more than 65,000 cast and crew filmographies, movie reviews and
ratings, as well as editorial recommendations on the best and most
significant movies from each genre, says the New York City-based e-tailer.
Customers can browse the DVD-only section, read interviews, chat with stars
and write reviews. The Video Interview Gallery allows fans to watch video
clips of stars. They can search and browse by movie title, actor, director,
producer, screenwriter, release date, format, price or any combination of
these subjects.
Barnesandnoble.com's Video Store offers customers films in these 16 genres:
Action/Adventure, Animation, Art House, Classics, Comedy, Cult, Documentary,
Drama, DVD, How-To/Instructional, Independent, International, Kids, Mind
Body & Spirit, Music & Musicals, Science Fiction/Horror, Sports and
Television.
The site boasts a number of columns from B-movie director Roger Corman and
Mike Nelson, the former star and writer for Mystery Science Theater 3000.
It also features The Art House, offering independent, documentary and
international films. The Art House will also spotlight the Facets Boutique,
an independent film distributor, which will also supply exclusive editorial
content and video recommendations. Video Store customers can shop in
boutique specialty stores, including Warner Vintage Classics, National
Geographic, Disney Kids and Family, Miramax and Facets.
