Velosel to deliver a production-ready CPIM solution compatible with Transora`s Global Data Synchronization Network

Santa Clara, CA - February 24, 2004 - Velosel(r) Corporation, the leading provider of Collaborative Product Information Management (CPIM) software, has developed a CPIM solution for the consumer goods industry that will be integrated with Transora`s Data Synchronization Network (TDSN). The combined solution provides manufacturers and retailers with a fast-track route to manage and synchronize product information.

The two companies have completed the first synchronization phase of Velosel`s CPIM application, Velosel5, with the TDSN. Velosel has successfully used the emerging Direct Store Delivery (DSD) standards in preparing and synchronizing hundreds of items with the TDSN. The solution has been implemented successfully in a production environment by a global 100 consumer goods manufacturer and will be made generally available in the coming months to organizations in the US and internationally.

Manufacturers and retailers will be able to establish cross-functional business processes behind their firewalls to manage the organization, creation and modification of accurate product information internally, and can swiftly extend those processes to synchronize with the TDSN for distribution to retailers, trading hubs and global registries, such as EAN-UCC.

Velosel5 enables manufacturers to organize, create, approve and manage item information in a central data repository using a business process automation engine that enforces a set of user-defined business rules. It employs flexible validation capabilities to ensure product information complies with both proprietary and industry standards. Manufacturers can extract item data from a range of sources, cleanse and enhance it with the additional details required for Global Data Synchronization (GDS) or other product information destinations, and then load and synchronize that information with trading partners via Transora`s Data Synchronization Network.

"Transora`s core focus is data synchronization and we continuously strive to enhance the value, efficiencies and solutions we offer to our customers," said Ken Fleming, president and COO of Transora. "Transora`s comprehensive data synchronization services combined with Velosel`s behind-the-firewall CPIM solution will enable customers to better manage and maintain their product data. This is critical in order to fully reap the benefits of data synchronization."

Retailers can also use Velosel5 to capture the inbound information to create and maintain a synchronized central enterprise data repository. Velosel`s powerful "out-of-the-box" business process automation application allows business groups throughout the retailer, such as supply chain, purchasing, store operations and merchandising, to collaborate more easily.

"Both Transora and Velosel are focused on helping retailers and manufacturers derive more value from their product information. This partnership enables our customers to reap the benefits of Collaborative Product Information Management. It also complements Transora`s data synchronization solutions by delivering benefits more rapidly than ever before through streamlining implementation processes and reducing integration efforts," said Russ Henry, senior vice president of marketing at Velosel Corporation.
