UK traffic rises 26% at Ciao comparison shopping site
The number of unique visitors in May in the UK rose in double-digit percentage increases over April at several retail shopping sites. Comparison shopping site Ciao led with 26%, followed by department store retailers Arcadia Group, up 17%; Karstadt-Quelle, up 16%, and Marks & Spencer, up 15%, comScore Inc. reports in its latest World Metrix findings.
Other growth rates cited by comScore include Play.com Sites, up 13%; Amazon and Tesco Stores, each up 7%; Home Retail Group, up 6%; and Apple, eBay and Yahoo, each up 3%.
Google Inc. led all sites in number of unique visitors in May, at 27.96 million, up 2% from the prior month.
ComScore counts unique visitors only once per month regardless of how many times they visit a site.
