PlusSize.com adopts My Virtual Model technology

PlusSize.com, a shopping portal for women’s apparel size 12 and up, is launching My Virtual Model’s Virtual Dressing Room technology for four brands: Elisabeth by Liz Claiborne, SizeAppeal, Just My Size and Ulla Popken. The portal features plus size clothing collections from more than 40 retailers.

Customers can create models of themselves by providing height, weight, hair color and hairstyle. The virtual model, accessed by a customer password, is stored at the web site. “Adding this technology will help establish the value proposition of the plus size consumer as a driver of fashion technology and provide targeted access to merchants and consumers in this $20 billion market,” said Jeff Recker, CEO of PlusSize.com. Other retail web sites that use My Virtual Model technology include American Eagle Outfitters, Kenneth Cole, Lands` End, Lane Bryant and Guess.
