Nothing frilly about the web at Frederick’s of Hollywood


Internet sales are booming at Frederick`s of Hollywood, the company announced today. Web sales for the lingerie seller during the Valentine`s Day selling period were up 85% over the year before, the company says. Web sales--$800,000 worth--represented 35% of sales, the company says.

The company also reported that total sales for Valentine’s Day were up 16% over the prior year’s Valentine’s Day. The company says all three channels--web, catalog and store--experienced strong growth.

"Valentine`s Day is our time of year, and this year was no exception," said Linda LoRe, president and CEO of Frederick`s of Hollywood.
