Yahoo boosted e-sales 25% with last week’s promotion


Yahoo Shopping sales volume shot up 25% last week during a three-day marketing push aimed at increasing retail sales at Yahoo.com. Yahoo says that brand name retailers who link from Yahoo.com had an average increase in sales of 70% for the three days. Yahoo says several merchants experienced sales volume increases as much as 500%, bringing their sales volume to holiday season levels. Sales at Yahoo Travel rose 20%.

"The Biggest Sale demonstrates Yahoo!`s strength as a marketing partner and transactional platform while highlighting the breadth and depth of products and services available across the Yahoo! network."
