A Fujitsu computer giveaway generates a 7.5% e-mail click-through rate
FujitsuPC achieved a click-through rate of 7.5% on an e-mail campaign it conducted earlier this year to promote new high-performance computers in the North American market, including LifeBook notebooks, Stylistic tablets, Scenic desktops and Intel-based Primergy servers.
Fujitsi’s objectives were lead generation by building an e-mail database of interested users of the Lifebook S Series, branding and awareness of the new Lifebook S Series and utilizing a viral marketing component to attract more interested subscribers.
Using a double opt-in list of 181,381 names from PostMasterDirect, Fujitsu recorded 13,539 click-throughs. In addition, 2,742 recipients forwarded the e-mail to others.
The subject line read: “Enter to Win a Lifebook S Series.” The e-mail urged prospects to click on a link and fill out the registration form for a chance to win the LifeBook S Series. The form asked users for their name, e-mail address, and telephone number, all of which FujitsuPC added to its database for future marketing efforts.
