Google to Provide Targeted Advertising and Web Search on iVillage

Relationship Provides Additional Revenue Opportunities

NEW YORK, Aug. 6 -- iVillage Inc. (NASDAQ:IVIL) , a leading women`s media company and the number one source for women`s information online, today announced a multi-year agreement with Google, developer of the largest performance-based search advertising program. This agreement will make Google`s targeted content and search advertisements and Web search available across the iVillage Network.

iVillage visitors will benefit from access to billions of Web pages through Google`s Web search results accompanied by relevant advertising served by Google. Additionally, content-targeted advertising will appear across the iVillage Network through the Google AdSense(TM) program. iVillage will share in the revenue generated when visitors click on a Google-served advertisement.

Douglas W. McCormick, Chairman and CEO, iVillage Inc., said, "Paid search is an enormous growth category that continues to gain momentum. Our relationship with Google enables us to maximize the full value of our advertising inventory while enhancing our user experience. Google`s leading position in offering programs for web search and targeted advertising enables us to benefit from additional revenues. It also allows us to add to the services we offer our visitors in the trusted environment of iVillage."

Omid Kordestani, Google`s senior vice president of Worldwide Sales and Field Operations said, "The addition of iVillage to our network of partners enables our advertisers to reach the industry`s leading audience of women on the Web. Google enables iVillage to complement their valuable content with leading web search and relevant advertising, creating a substantial revenue opportunity while enhancing the overall user experience for the millions of iVillage visitors."

Google`s Web search will be available to visitors throughout the iVillage Network. When a visitor at iVillage searches the Web using Google, targeted advertising appears on the search results page that provides an additional source of relevant information based on the visitor`s specific search query. In addition, through Google AdSense, iVillage visitors will be served advertisements that are targeted to the unique content of each individual page throughout the iVillage site.

Google`s global search services provide websites and portals with access to billions of Web pages and the world`s most advanced search technology. Additionally, Google partner sites earn revenue by serving targeted search advertisements on content and search result pages from Google`s worldwide network of more than 100,000 advertisers. Google`s advertisers gain broad exposure across Google`s partner websites, including many of the world`s largest websites such as AOL, Ask Jeeves, and Earthlink.
