COMMERCIALWARE CONTINUES MOMENTUM IN SMALL AND MID-SIZED RETAILER MARKET WITH 20 NEW CUSTOMER DEALS
Leading Retail Technology Provider Enables Small and Mid-Sized Retailers to Enhance Customer Service, Increase Profitability
NATICK, Mass. – March 18, 2004 – CommercialWare Inc., a leading provider of cross-channel retail management software, along with its subsidiary OrderMotion, today announced that it has signed 20 new customers since December 2003. Among these new customers is Flax art & design, a San Francisco-based retailer of art supplies, which will utilize CommercialWare’s flagship order management and fulfillment solution, CWDirect. In addition, Turtle Press, a retailer of self-defense and martial arts books, has chosen OrderMotion, an On Demand direct commerce system for small- to medium-sized retailers and direct marketers. These customer wins highlight CommericalWare’s continued growth and position as a leading provider of retail technology to small and mid-sized businesses.
By utilizing CWDirect, Flax art & design will streamline its order management and fulfillment processes, while increasing customer service through its catalogs and Web sites. Flax will also utilize CWData, a solution that extracts data from CWDirect with minimal technical investment and allows end users to analyze this data and identify trends. CWData provides a more accurate understanding of overall sales activity across multiple channels, enabling the company to make better strategic business decisions. Additionally, Flax will use CWIntegrate, a solution that allows seamless integration between CWDirect and existing retail applications. CWIntegrate will position Flax to extend CommercialWare’s suite of products in the future through the ability to map and translate data into appropriate formats and the support of multiple industry standard protocols.
"We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service," said Martin McClanan, Executive Officer of Flax art & design. "We chose CommercialWare’s technology to enable us to better serve our customers while running our business more efficiently, which will increase revenue and profitability."
Turtle Press also plans to enhance its customer service by taking advantage of the On Demand order management and fulfillment solution, OrderMotion. This Web-based application will centralize all aspects of the retailer’s back-end operations, including order capture, fulfillment, inventory management, payment processing, database management and reports generation. As a result, Turtle Press will be able to dramatically augment the efficiency of its operation, improve customer care, and create new, previously unfeasible, revenue opportunities.
"We are committed to putting our customers first by providing quick and quality service," said Cynthia Kim of Turtle Press. "OrderMotion has automated many of the tasks we had been doing manually, allowing us to improve the quality of service while reducing errors. It`s like having another employee!"
Additional customers signed in this period include Splash Hawaii, Jumpstart LLC, Natural Bronze, Ace Systems, Camano Island Coffee, WineMonger, Fun To Collect, Elliottician, SpaLook.com,
Popeil Family Store, TC Telemarketing, Provell, Inc., Theramune, DogToys.com, and Kylea Health & Energy.
