Full Degree Introduces XML-based Product Information Management Solution for CPG Suppliers and Retailers

New Full Degree Orchestrator Application Automatically Interprets, Organizes and Routes Synchronization Messages Generated by UCCnet and Other Data Pools

PALO ALTO, Calif. (March 23, 2004) – Full Degree today announced OrchestratorTM, a new product designed specifically for CPG suppliers and retailers that need to synchronize to UCCnet and other global data pools and registries. The application automates the management of UCCnet synchronization messages, which would otherwise be processed manually. Full Degree Orchestrator automatically handles message management, resulting in sizable cost savings as well as accurate and accelerated communication among suppliers, retailers and global registries. More information about Orchestrator, which is available now, can be found at http://www.fulldegree.com.

"We listened to CPG suppliers and retailers express the challenges they are facing with new global data synchronization initiatives," said Steve Race, Chairman and CEO of Full Degree, Inc. "Full Degree’s Orchestrator application solves the problem associated with manually processing the messages generated by UCCnet. Our new application automatically interprets, organizes and routes messages, resulting in huge cost savings. And it also frees up companies to focus on forward-looking initiatives like product development and expansion."

Global data synchronization initiatives by their very nature require increased communication between suppliers and retailers. As companies move beyond the initial proof-of-concept stage with synchronization initiatives, they quickly realize the burden of processing messages. Without Orchestrator, costs to businesses escalate as each message must be manually opened, deciphered and rerouted to appropriate staff. Furthermore, erroneous pieces of information must be adjusted on a product-by-product basis.

In addition to automating the message management, Orchestrator provides additional functionality for enabling companies to best sync their data to UCCnet and other global data pools and registries. These include:

* Automatic data validation against registration rules and attributes.
* Supplier specified rules enabling automatic generation and assignment of Global Trade Identification Numbers (GTINs).
* Product and packaging hierarchies, including UDEX categories, providing a simplified process of creating and managing items or products.
* Automatic generation of Global Location Numbers (GLNs) during the registration process.
