The auction boom helps Andale soar


The boom in online auctions by individuals and retailers has been a boon for Andale Inc., a provider of auction management tools and services for online sellers. Andale announced today that it has achieved cash flow breakeven six months ahead of when it expected to do so. Revenue this year is up 300% over last year, the company said.

The company says it has added major and minor enhancements to its services at the rate of two a month for the past two years and has added more than 1,000 paying customers a week for more than six months.

Andale also announced that it has signed on to use the eBay Application Programming Interface and become a part of the eBay Preferred Solution Provider Program. Andale says using eBay’s API will allow it to provide customers with more reliable, secure and scalable integration into eBay. Andale says its status as a preferred solution provider will help large volume eBay sellers effectively market their merchandise on eBay. Furthermore, the automation will help Andale customers list more list more items for sale at eBay, the company said.
