Velosel Joins the WWRE WorldSYNC™ Partner Program for Item Management
Velosel`s behind-the-firewall CPIM solution enables retailers and suppliers to synchronize data easily with the WWRE WIM solution.
Santa Clara, CA – March 30, 2004 – Velosel® Corporation, the leading provider of Collaborative Product Information Management (CPIM) software, and the WorldWide Retail Exchange (WWRE®), the premier Internet-based business-to-business exchange for retailers and suppliers, announced today a partnership enabling the Velosel5 application to interoperate with the WWRE`s Worldwide Item Management (WIM) solution.
As part of this initiative, Velosel becomes a member of the WWRE WorldSYNC™ Partner Program. The program`s goal is to help WWRE members and their trading partners streamline their product information management and provide an end-to-end blueprint for rapid adoption of item synchronization via a range of "WIM-ready", behind-the-firewall content management solution providers.
Velosel`s WIM-compatible solution can be implemented out-of-the-box by customers. It enables them to reap the benefits of improved collaborative product information management processes and workflows, such as faster time to market, fewer product information errors and greater productivity. The Velosel5 and WIM partnership allows retailers and suppliers to get started with item synchronization rapidly; using standards-based,
quality data.
"Through the WorldSYNC™ Partner Program, the WWRE is committed to identifying and deploying best-of-breed technology for the benefit of members and their trading partners," said Pete Plotas, director of strategic alliances of the WWRE. "This partnership with Velosel enhances the overall value of our item synchronization service by delivering an innovative CPIM solution. By offering this proven solution for the management and maintenance of product data within the enterprise, we can provide suppliers and retailers with a pragmatic roadmap for collaborative data synchronization."
"Both the WWRE and Velosel are focused on improving efficiency and lowering costs for the retail and CPG industry," said Russ Henry, senior vice president of marketing at Velosel Corporation. "By establishing this partnership with an industry-leading exchange like the WWRE, we are providing retailers and manufacturers with yet another way to work together more quickly and efficiently, further validating our commitment to our customers."
Velosel5 enables manufacturers to organize, create, approve and manage item information in a central data repository using a business process automation engine that enforces a set of user-defined business rules. It employs flexible validation capabilities to ensure product information complies with both proprietary and industry standards. This "WIM-ready" capability allows customers to load and synchronize their item data to WWRE for syndication to their desired trading partner directly or through one of WWRE`s many local country catalog connections.
