CommercialWare Introduces CWAnalytics Business Intelligence Software

CWAnalytics Provides High Level Insight into Cross-Channel Business and Operational Trends to Facilitate Strategic Decision Making

NATICK, Mass.--March 29, 2004—CommercialWare, Inc., a leading provider of cross-channel retail management software, today introduced CWAnalytics, a business intelligence solution that allows retailers to make strategic business decisions based on high level graphical analyses of cross-channel operations data. Used in conjunction with CommercialWare`s leading retail and direct marketing management software, CWDirect, and its award-winning point-of-sale offering, CWStore, CWAnalytics allows business managers to easily explore their operations and revenues across all channels, identify high level trends, and quickly make informed business decisions to address issues or optimize operational efficiency.

"CWAnalytics is a powerful tool for high level analyses of all aspects of our operations," said Al Bessin, CEO of The Golfworks. "We can examine our business across multiple dimensions then quickly drill down to get a better understanding of relevant segments. The software is intuitive and very easy to use and our managers can quickly examine various operational variables and investigate issues and trends."

CWAnalytics works seamlessly in the background to periodically extract cross-channel transactional data from CWDirect and CWStore and deposit it into CWAnalytics` datamart to keep information current for ongoing analysis. CWAnalytics allows users to view a business trend report on demand, then further analyze multiple variables and look at the data in concise graphical views in real time. For example, an operations manager might view a recurring weekly report on product sales and profits and notice an unexpected increase in returns. The manager can then look at returns in more detail, segmenting by product, vendor, and geographic region, and if they so choose, further analyze any one of these factors to quickly identify significant trends or problems.

"CWAnalytics provides high level insight into cross-channel operations, enabling managers to react quickly and make critical business decisions," said Donny Askin, CEO of CommercialWare. "We continue to develop solutions for our customers that allow them to leverage our cross-channel retail and direct marketing management solutions to gain a competitive advantage."

CWAnalytics operates on industry standard platforms, including Windows 2000/XP, Microsoft SQL Server, and Microsoft.Net, T-SQL, and Visual Basic scripting languages.
