--National Discount Chain Leader Streamlines Electronic Transactions with Hosted Internet Service for Extensive Supplier Base

St. Paul, Minn., January 28, 2002 - SPS Commerce, the leading Supply Chain Integration Service provider, today announced an agreement with Family Dollar, the fast growing North Carolina-based discount store chain, for its Buyer-Managed Inventory hosted Internet service. Family Dollar will utilize SPS` hosted Internet transaction service to conduct electronic business with their large supplier base that delivers goods to Family Dollar`s 4,200 stores in 39 states.

Family Dollar will use the Buyer-Managed Inventory service to migrate existing suppliers who normally conduct business via the fax, phone or mail to the world of electronic commerce. SPS` services provide visibility into the order management process for both the supplier and Family Dollar, increasing order accuracy, shortening shipping and payment cycles and ultimately improving customer satisfaction.
