Teen site Alloy in marketing deal
Alloy.com, an e-retailer and content site that caters to teen and preteen girls, has teamed up with teen community site Candies.com to sell advertising and marketing sponsorships on Candies.com. Alloy will sell and place banner and button ads as well as marketing sponsorships.
"Candie's is an established and dominant Gen Y brand," says Samantha Skey, vice president of e-commerce and sponsorships at Alloy. "They have been aggressively building their Web site with exciting content and have developed a very targeted community of teen girls."
Earlier this month, Alloy announced that Liberty Digital Inc. had invested $54 million in its operations, buying 19% of its stock.
