Ritz Interactive acquires another camera site

Irvine, CA-based e-commerce company Ritz Interactive Inc. has acquired competitor CameraWorld.com, the company announced today. CameraWorld, a large retail store in Portland, OR, area, will not be part of the acquisition.

Ritz has been on an acquisition binge for online photo properties since October, when it acquired WolfCamera.com. The company most recently acquired PhotoAlley.com in April. "Our plan is to retain the elements that have made this site so popular, along with the CameraWorld.com brand and URL and provide consumers with an even greater selection, functionality and service," Fred Lerner, Ritz Interactive president and CEO, said. Ritz Interactive also owns several boating-oriented sites, including BoatingOnly.com and BoatersWorld.com.
