BIGFOOT INTERACTIVE EXPANDS MANAGEMENT TEAM
New VP of Sales and VP of Operations Join Veteran Executive Team
NEW YORK -- February 7, 2002 -- Bigfoot Interactive, the leading provider of strategic, ROI-focused email communications technology and services, today announced two key management appointments to its veteran executive team. Paul Beck was named vice president of sales and John Mathew was appointed to the newly created position of vice president of operations. The additions directly support Bigfoot Interactive`s focus on accelerating the growth of the company`s technology offerings, client services and industry-focused sales efforts.
Mr. Beck, who joins from DIMAC Marketing Partners, will spearhead efforts to sell Bigfoot Interactive`s technology and services to companies across all industries seeking to leverage the power of permission-based email in their various communications efforts. Working with the sales team, Mr. Mathew will drive the implementation of Bigfoot Interactive`s leading technology and automated solutions for the company`s expanding roster of blue-chip clients in the financial services, publishing, healthcare, retail, technology, automotive, entertainment and travel industries. Previously, he served as vice president of operations at Return Path, an email change-of-address service provider, and as vice present of operations at 24/7 Media, where he built and directed the email marketing operations group.
"The addition of both Paul and John signals our ongoing commitment to building world class products, services and teams to help drive our continued growth and leadership in the industry," said Al DiGuido, CEO of Bigfoot Interactive. "Paul`s extensive sales and management background, combined with his one-to-one, direct marketing expertise, will be critical in taking our sales team to the next level. John`s in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with operations and technology infrastructure will be invaluable in supporting our rapidly growing roster of clients and their mission-critical email communications needs. We are delighted to have them both on board."
Before joining Bigfoot Interactive, Mr. Beck was vice president of interactive strategic solutions (ISS) at DIMAC Marketing Partners, a full-service direct marketing company, where he developed and managed the ISS Group. Prior to DIMAC, Mr. Beck was the director of marketing and Internet marketing for the direct PC brands Quantex Microsystems and Cybermax Computers, divisions of Fountain Technologies, the largest privately held computer manufacturer. In this role, his marketing and sales teams contributed more than $350 million in annual revenue, leading all Fountain brands and strategic business units.
Mr. Mathew brings more than 10 years of experience in building email marketing operations and technology infrastructure to support client implementation on both domestic and international levels. His previous experience includes senior level management roles at companies such as Return Path, 24/7 Media, Inc. and Pretiem, where he managed operations, conducted business analysis, developed strategic planning, and led equipment and facilities maintenance, among other responsibilities.
"Permission-based email is quickly gaining more recognition as companies integrate email into their overall communications and IT strategies. Both Paul and John will greatly contribute to Bigfoot Interactive`s tradition of providing our clients with comprehensive solutions backed by incomparable service, industry-specific expertise and a robust, flexible technology infrastructure that enables the creation and implementation of effective email communications," continued DiGuido.
This announcement follows Bigfoot Interactive`s recent new financing news and the hiring of Sophia Corona as chief financial officer.
