Olympia Sports To Transform Supply Chain With Integration And Catalog Services From SPS Commerce

--Suppliers Will Seamlessly Conduct Transactions and Update Product Information Electronically Via Hosted Internet Service--

St. Paul, Minn., February 11, 2002 - SPS Commerce, the leading Supply Chain Integration Service provider, today announced an agreement to provide both its Buyer-Managed Inventory and Item Maintenance Catalog hosted Internet services to Olympia Sports. Olympia Sports is a service and family oriented retail sporting goods chain with 84 stores in the Northeast United States.

"Driving down operational costs is essential to surviving and growing any retail business in today`s market," said Dick Coffey, president of Olympia Sports. "Utilizing a hosted solution such as SPS will enable us to operate in a smarter, more efficient manner and cut costs out of our supply chain."

Olympia will implement the Buyer-Managed Inventory service to electronically enable suppliers who normally conduct business via the fax, phone or mail. Providing order visibility for both Olympia and the supplier, the Buyer-Managed Inventory Service helps decrease duplicate orders, shorten delivery times and payment cycles and improve customer service ability. The Item Maintenance Catalog service will update Olympia`s back-end systems with the most recent product content from all of its supply chain partners through synchronization agent technology. Olympia`s suppliers will also be able to tailor information updates for Olympia to match their own back-end operational environments with SPS` browser-based edit and load tools.

"Improving operational efficiencies while reducing costs is at the heart of each of our services," said Jim Frome, executive vice president and chief strategy officer of SPS Commerce. "Olympia is providing its suppliers with a cost-effective manner to advance business practices while becoming electronic supply chain partners, which will yield mutual benefits in the near and long term future."
