DMA Annual Catalog Conference, Chicago, IL, May 5, 2004 --- DoubleClick Inc. (Nasdaq: DCLK), the leading provider of marketing tools for advertisers, direct marketers and web publishers, today announced the launch of ClearEDGE, a new, integrated database solution designed specifically for mid-market catalogers. ClearEDGE enables mid-market catalogers to directly access and analyze their customer data, to identify new marketing opportunities and to enhance their marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
ClearEDGE is an integrated marketing solution comprising a multi-channel marketing database and web-based access to campaign management, reporting and analytics. The solution also leverages DataEDGE, DoubleClick’s data hygiene and list processing solution. As a hosted solution, ClearEDGE offers mid-market companies the sophisticated capabilities usually associated with big-budget marketers. The solution is deliberately tailored to the marketing processes, data needs and price point unique to mid-market catalogers, to avoid the cost, risk and complexities of a more custom solution.
ClearEDGE provides customers with web-based access to their data and enables timely reporting and analytics. While most database update cycles require one to two weeks, ClearEDGE will deliver ‘next day’ updates, reducing lag time and improving marketer’s decision-making ability. As a result, ClearEDGE customers will enjoy better insight into their customers and prospects, improved response rates, enhanced revenue per contact and reduced mailing costs. Furthermore, ClearEDGE will work in concert with ChannelView, enabling customers of both solutions to drill deeper into the multi-channel behavior of their customers to make immediate marketing decisions.
DoubleClick currently provides marketing solutions to approximately four hundred mid-market catalogers, primarily through its Abacus Alliance, which contains a total of 1,800 catalog and retail companies. The ClearEDGE Beta program, which will run until July 2004, gives early access to the product to a select group of these customers including Flax art & design, TechnoScout and Swanson Health Products.
