Auction site uBid gets new top management
Auction web site and e-commerce marketplace uBid today named Christian Feuer, a former Spiegel Group catalog executive, as president and CEO and Robert Tomlinson Jr. as chief financial officer. UBid is majority owned by CMGI Inc.
"CMGI is committed to expanding the uBid management team with seasoned executives from consumer and interactive disciplines that will complement and expand its unique market position within the larger e-commerce sector," said George McMillan, CEO, CMGI.
Feuer was senior vice president of marketing and advertising production at Spiegel catalog, where he oversaw marketing, sales and catalog production, and maintained management and P&L responsibility for the Spiegel web sites. Feuer led the marketing team that help restructure the company`s brand and customer acquisition strategies.
Tomlinson was chief financial officer at Forbes.com Inc. Before that, he was chief financial officer for online gardening and specialty gift retailer MySeasons.com Inc., where he developed the online strategy.
