A double play as Global Sports takes over two cosmetics sites
Global Sports Inc. continues to tackle new markets. After conquering much of the e-commerce space for sporting goods, Global Sports branched into luxury sites. Today it announced further diversification by signing agreements to host and operate the technology platform for Gloss.com and Estee Lauder Cos.’ ELC Online, as well as to perform fulfillment and customer service. Gloss and ELC Online will handle all aspects of design, marketing and merchandising.
Gloss.com is a multi-branded beauty site owned by Estee Lauder Cos., Chanel and Clarins. It features online boutiques for such brands as Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Chanel, Clarins, M.A.C., Origins, Stila and Prescriptives. ELC Online is a wholly owned subsidiary of Estee Lauder Cos. that operates separate web sites for Estee Lauder, Clinique, Origins, M.A.C. and Bobbi Brown brands.
