One of the benefits of doing business on the Internet is that with the right technology, marketers can find what buyers are seeking.
WholesaleCentral.com, a b2b site, tracks searches on its site and reports the following trend among apparel brands:
Gucci and Tommy Hilfiger grew in popularity between August and September, with Gucci searches at WholesaleCentral.com accounting for 33% of retail buyers searches, up from 30% in August, and Hilfiger accounting for 16%, up from 9%.
Louis Vuitton and Ralph Lauren slipped, with Vuitton searches accounting for 9% of all searches in September, down from 15% in August, and Lauren accounting for 15% of September searches, down from 21% in August.
Prada and Versace remained minor factors in searches, accounting for 6% and 4%, respectively, of September searches.
Burberry accounted for 10% both months.
On the game front, WholesaleCentral.com reports:
Playstation was the most popular brand, accounting for 60% of searches in September, up from 59% in August
Xbox trailed at 27%, up from 24%
GaneCube slipped badly to 4% from 10%
Gameboy held at 9%, with a growing interest in Gameboy Advance.
