CoolSavings registers its 20 millionth user

CoolSavings Inc., an online direct marketing and media company, has signed up more than 20 million consumers representing 18.4 million U.S. households, the Chicago-based company reported today. The number represents 34% of the 54 million U.S. households that are online, the company says.

"The strength of CoolSavings' membership growth is key to our ability to connect marketers to their target consumers and drive campaign performance," said Matthew Moog, president and CEO of CoolSavings.

CoolSavings reports that women shoppers account for nearly 68% of CoolSavings' membership base, mirroring a trend reported by the Commerce Department that women aged 20 to 50 are outpacing men on what has been the male-dominated Internet.
