New Application Integration Solution from EXE Technologies Promises Customers Reliable, Low Cost Supply Chain Connectivity
Dallas, Texas - February 26, 2002 - Global supply chain execution (SCE) leader EXE Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: EXEE), announced today the release of the EXceedTM Data Exchange software solution. Exceed Data Exchange provides a cost effective and rapidly deployable solution that eliminates the pain of integrating enterprise software applications.
EXceed Data Exchange is a J2EE compliant application that supports secure communications over the Internet and private networks. Customers will be able to use standard EXceed Data Exchange communication and transformation capabilities to integrate EXE applications with popular applications from other enterprise software vendors.
"Over 90% of e-Commerce transactions are via EDI formats. Most companies pay a per transaction charge to a Value Added Network (VAN) which adds up to thousands of dollars per year," said George Starr, vice president and general manager collaborate business unit for EXE. "EXceed Data EXchange enables trading partners to eliminate VAN charges by using secure Internet protocols for transactions. Furthermore, EXceed Data EXchange supports the data transformation required to quickly implement and easily maintain enterprise application integration within the Intranet and external trading relationships across the Internet."
"Integration concerns should not drive software buying decisions. Instead, integration should simply be a step in a typical deployment plan," said David Clarke, vice president of services for EXE. "EXceed Data Exchange is especially useful for companies who must frequently connect to new systems, such as Third Party Logistics providers."
"We are committed to helping our customers derive maximum return on their investment in EXE`s EXceed product suite through strong support of leading standards for connectivity," said Richard Lackey, chief technology officer for EXE. "EXceed Data Exchange seamlessly handles legacy EDI formats as well as XML, and utilizes widely accepted messaging and security standards. We understand that no enterprise system today can survive if it exists in a silo of its own data. Instead, integrated solutions are necessary to expedite the flow of goods through the supply chain."
