WorldWide Retail Exchange offers a multi-lingual e-learning program

The WorldWide Retail Exchange has launched a multi-lingual e-learning service called WWRE University that it believes will give members a faster return on their investment in the exchange. While the exchange did not disclose exact cost savings, it noted that retailers can save on the cost of travel and lodging for training purposes by allowing employees to access learning materials online.

The learning service offers users online course registration, career development tools, training materials and logistics for instructor-led training events, tracking of student progress, "Ask the Expert" capabilities and quick reference guides.

Learning programs can be customized for each user and members can register an unlimited number of users. WWRE University is supported by Bellevue, WA-based Click2learn Inc.’s Aspen Enterprise Learning Platform, which allows organizations to deploy interactive, personalized learning programs. Other users of Click2learn’s platform include Wells Fargo and American Airlines.
