Brylane names a new marketing chief who will head EC initiatives

Brylane Inc., which operates web sites and publishes catalogs under a number of fashion and home furnishings brands, has named Mark Friedman chief marketing officer. His responsibilities will include leading Brylane’s e-commerce initiatives, corporate marketing, consumer research and database and business development activities.

Before joining Brylane, Friedman was chief marketing officer at Brooks Brothers, where he was general manager of the catalog and e-commerce channels and headed up marketing for the retail and factory outlet channels. Before Brooks Brothers, Friedman was vice president of marketing for The Company Store catalog, a division of Hanover Direct.

Brylane's brands include Chadwick's of Boston, Lerner, Lane Bryant, Roaman's, Jessica London, King Size, Brylane Home and Brylane Home Kitchen and a licensing agreement with Sears Shop at Home Services, Inc.

Brylane is a subsidiary of Redcats, the home shopping division of Pinault-Printemps-Redoute.
