Western Warehouse uses kiosks to extend web to stores

Coopers Inc.’s Western Warehouse has installed web-enabled kiosks in all 29 stores in New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and California in the last two months, Rick Shankles, Internet applications manager, tells Internet Retailer.

The Albuquerque, NM-based retailer overcame store skepticism of the devices by giving the stores credit for sales that take place over the kiosks, Shankles says.

Western Warehouse plans to promote the kiosks to consumers.
